Family communication- International day of Family
So best wishes to you all on International Day of Family.
How blessed we feel to have a bunch of people around us who take
care of each of our smallest habits and needs..!!
Well, I personally feel Family communication makes its root. It
forms to be of utmost importance. The environment of Home is well defined by
the way in which each member of the family can communicate their views and
ideas to thy self.
Smiles and cheer reside in a place where sharing views, ideas,
opinions, agreements, disagreements, negations, options is uncomplicated..!
Perhaps the best way to promote good family communication is to be
a good listener. And yes by a listener I literally mean empathetic listener..!!
To elaborate to the term I mean, listening in a manner wherein,
the emotions of the speaker are bound to that of the listener..!
Listening without judgement..! Listening without immediate
reaction..!! Listening without advising..!!
Wherever human interactions exist, there is a
potential for conflict and anger to arise. Conflict can lead to either
breakdown in the relationship, the family, friendship, or work environment, or
it can lead to creative solutions and improved relationships.
Why not choose the second option.!!
So putting hereunder a list of points that can
help you communicate well with your loved ones and maintain a stress free and
comfortable environment in your homes..!!
- Spend time for family discussions
- Let each family member participate in the family time even the youngest one and help them cultivate a habit for putting forth their ideas during the discussion.
- Dinners can be the best option for the above point.
- Discuss important family matters while doing the same.
- Ask questions instead of jumping down to conclusions
- Listen carefully and empathetically to what is being shared.
- Do not expect 100 % agreement in any of the views or ideas..!!
Hope the above article helps you all..!!
Do share your comments and views on the same
soon..!!
